What we do

We breed and grow on Lake Malawi cichlids in our own fish house, and stock a focused range of aquatic products chosen because we use them ourselves. Rather than carrying everything, we carry what suits hard, alkaline, rift-lake setups.

How our fish are raised

Fry are separated, grown on in dedicated tanks and graded into size bands. Nothing is listed as available until it is feeding confidently and robust enough to travel. Where a species is still growing on, we say so plainly rather than taking your money early.

Honest photographs

Some photographs show the exact fish you'll receive; others are representative of the species and size band. Every listing states which, so there are no surprises when the box is opened.

Advice included

Stocking ratios, aggression management, tank mates and water chemistry all matter more with Malawis than with most community fish. Ask us before you buy — we would much rather talk you out of a bad combination than sell it to you.
